Just yesterday I was watching Andrew Zimmern's show Bizarre Foods, and he went to Japan. I have wanted to go there for quite a time now but Andrew made me want to go even more. I mean its a beautiful place to go, and they have a little bit of everything for everyone. Its tranquil, peaceful, and exciting but at the same time its a technology driven, food fascination, busy and bustling place!
I gotta say the most thing I'm interested in is eating the food! I have always been very eccentric when it comes to many things in my life, and food is no exception! My mother still tells me about the story of me being 4 and asking for a $50 lobster and I actually sat there and ate it!
Okay so lobster isn't too daring but how about octopus eggs, eel, or buffalo? I have to say buffalo is awesome and eel is good if you cook it a certain way! Listed below I'm going to tell you about a couple of the really interesting places located in Japan!
Japan's fifth largest city, and also one of its least weathered, Sapporo is pure, friendly and relaxed, with numerous parks and extensive, tree-lined streets. Families play on rock carvings, individuals feed pigeons and there are festivals year round! Museums and a extraordinary botanical garden make for fun-filled sightseeing.
The variety of shopping arcades, restaurants and night life in Susukino gives visitors and residents lots to do! Top rated attractions include; Sapporo Beer Museum, Moerenuma Park, and Historical Village of Hokkaido (Kaitaku-no Mura). Top rated restaurants include; Kushidori, Mikuni Sapporo, and Rokkatei Maruyama Branch!
An encroaching, prosperous, attractive city, Hiroshima will be commemorated for that terrible moment on 6 August 1945 when it became the world's first atomic-bomb target.
Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park is a continuous reminder of that tragic day and it attracts visitors from all over the world. Yet Hiroshima is far from a dismal place; on the contrary, its citizens have healed from nuclear holocausts to establish a thriving and internationally minded residential district.
Places to visit; Fushimi Inari Shrine, Tokyo Disneyland, and Himeji Castle (Himeji-jo). Interesting places to eat; Mikuni Sapporo, Yakiniku Yamamoto, Sam's by the Sea (Awase).

Tradition, mirthfully, is not adamant, but feted along with innovation! Best places to eat; Mikuni Sappor, Porterhouse Steak, Atsuta Horaiken! Attractions you HAVE to see; Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, Kiyomizu Temple, Fushimi Inari Shrine, Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji), Sensoji Temple (Asakusa Kannon), The Tsukiji Market!
That last entry; The Tsukiji Market is actually one of the markets that Andrew went to and its awesome! Its supposed to be one of the largest fish markets in Japan and you can seriously get ANY type of fish, crustacean, reptile, etc; that you want.
If it exists they probably have someone their that is selling it! The market had been in operation since the 1700's and was where the Westerners set foot on Japanese soil centuries ago. Whats really funny is that the Japanese don't think this market is big enough so in a few years they plan on moving it to another location! If you ever plan on going there you absolutely have to visit the market, the aquarium and the Inari Shrine!
