When it comes to my heritage I am half German and half Lithuania so Germany and Lithuania are two places I have always wanted to visit just to see where I "come" from. Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, contains one of the largest surviving medieval quarters in Europe.

Included on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Old Town contains almost two thousand medieval, Gothic, renaissance, and baroque buildings, all centered on the neoclassical cathedral and town hall. Other popular attractions include the KGB Museum, located in a former Soviet prison, and the 13th century Higher Castle, which affords a glorious view of the city center.

If you want to visit Lithuania you might be wondering some hot spots as far as attractions and restaurants go so listed below I have given you a few ideas of some of the best places to go when you visit.

Also if you are interested when you visit these guides you can usually click on each restaurant, hotel and attraction and be given a few different reviews from people that have been to the places listed below.

This is sort of hard to go by recommendation wise since everyone has their own opinions about different things but still you could at least get an idea about what to expect.

For example, someone was talking about the Saint Germain below. Nice restaurant, wonderful food but a little on the pricey side. So then you could base your opinion off of someone else's (if you wanted to).

Top attractions:
KGB Museum (Genocido Auku Muziejus)
Old Town
Gates of Dawn (Ausros Vartai)
Cathedral (Arkikatedra Bazilika)
Paneriai (Ponar)
Hill of Three Crosses

Top Restaurants:
In Vino
Saint Germain
Rene
La Provence
El Gaucho Sano
Bistro 18

Recommended Hotels to stay at:
Shakespeare Boutique Hotel
Europa Royale
Hotel Conti
Crowne Plaza
Ramada

Also included are pictures if of each place from various individuals that have visited these places. These guides aren't usually JUST guides. Normally they are also a place where you can book hotels, rent cars, and buy airline tickets as well. You can do all of this separately or as a bundle and you can also take a look at some of the cruise data as well!

Remember ordering packages is always going to be less pricier and more arranged time wise. So this is a pleasant option to look at if you want to save money and save time! For what you get with these packages the price seems really fair. For instance, I took a look at Dublin which is usually quite expensive as far as traveling arrangements go.

For a trip for 2 people with airline tickets, car and hotel it costs about $1500 for a weekly package! I don't know, I think this price is awesome. And this was chosen with the best hotel in mind as well as the best airline and times and a standard car (not a compact). So its not like I skimped out on things!
