With an internship under their belt, many students feel confident that they can take on the real world with great success right after college. The more diverse the students in the program and the more experienced students they have, the more valuable of an education they can offer. A college internship is a very good way of grabbing the attention of both admission officials and job interviewers.
So when it comes time to prepare for life after graduation, students will be wise to choose a college internship as a means for getting a competitive edge over peers. They will learn a bit about the real world and possibly discover a new field they would have otherwise never considered before.
