As unemployment rates continue to rise, is the recessions bite starting to leave its mark? Unemployment levels in the Essex region have hit their highest levels for nearly ten years, monthly statistics show that month on month unemployment figures rise, with ever more people facing the grim prospect of redundancy and job loss in most sectors of industry especially retail.
This current trend of unemployment is set to rise as the recession takes an ever tighter hold of the economy with many major national retailers and industries being forced to make severe cutbacks which only further signifies that an already desperate situation only stands to progress over the next coming months.

The recession is predicted to be upon us until the earliest of 2011, when the global economy may show some slow indications of picking up, until such times Essex jobs will be limited and competition for vacancies will grow fiercely, therefore making yourself available to as many opportunities as possible is the only way forward.

It is interesting to find out the most statistics available today about Essex jobs are based on the last decade, however this is not a true reflection of how the job situation compares with last recession, and at present unemployment is not as bad in the Essex area compared to the same stage of the last recession which hit in the 1990s.
