After you are pre approved to buy a home, you can then start looking at different homes in your area. You will normally want to choose a realtor to help you with this process because that way they can do all of the work in finding all of the homes in your area in your specific price range. One way to find a realtor that can help you with this is to ask the banker for any recommendations when you are working on getting pre approved.
Whether you are working on reverse mortgage or are house hunting, you will want to make sure you take your time so that you do not rush into a decision that you are not completely happy with. Buying a home is a very big decision that you will not want to take lightly because you will likely live there for several years and may even raise a family there. Although at some point in the search you might get tired and want to be done with the process, usually the best thing that you can do is take a few days off and then come back to begin the search again so that you do not just choose a house because you are tired of looking.
