Everyone wants a touch of elegance in their homes, and now, mini chandeliers are all the rage. Whenever a person hears or thinks about the word chandelier, he or she would immediately think of luxurious and grand ballrooms in large mansions or palaces of the rich and famous. Or maybe something out of the history books or romantic novels.
Chandeliers are the very epitome of the word grand. So, everyone might be a little hesitant whenever another person would suggest adding a chandelier to their homes, and who would not be? Aside from the fact that it exudes elegance and class, buying or acquiring one would need a whole lot of money. But nowadays, people have found ways to make this elegant accessory more accessible to the greater public.
These modern-day luxuries can also be called chandelettes. And as the name implies, they are the smaller versions of the large ones we usually think about. In fact, these stuffs are actually patterned after the large chandeliers and are practically made to cater the needs of those who do not have homes that are large enough to accommodate the sizes of grand chandeliers.
Because of their size, this particular type of lighting fixture is more flexible in nature, and can easily get used to either large or small room sizes. However, they work best at smaller areas of a home like stairwells, small rooms, bedroom corners, and nooks and crannies of a house.
These mini chandeliers are so petite that they measure even less than a foot in diameter. Because of their size, they usually illuminate a much dimmer light compared to standard chandeliers. Usually, for added effect, these type of lighting fixture is grouped together in pairs or trios or in any number, depending on their design.
Their colors are usually of a black and/or white, or anything akin or near to these shades, but nowadays, multi-colored chandelettes are also available in order to match the more modern designs of nowadays. Also because of their size, they can cost a lot cheaper than the standard chandelier, maybe even less than a hundred dollars!
Several stores offer these stuffs but they are often more available online. Some stores might even provide pictures or sketch designs, especially for those bought in bulk quantities.
But before considering even buying one, one would always have to consider first the dimensions of ones home, and its respective theme or motif or design. These are applicable to certain types of rooms, but one should take into account the ceiling height of the room. If the ceiling is considerably too high, the type of illumination it gives off would only serve very little or not at all, unless they are clustered together in groups, or are placed strategically together with a large chandelier.
Next thing to consider would also be the size of the room. Chandelettes work best in small rooms as they would really look awkward in a large room. They would work considerably better with smaller pieces of furniture, not with bulky furniture.
Well, basically, I have mentioned all that there is to it about chandelettes. So now, it will be up to you to decide whether I have impressed you enough about these small but elegant accessories. Mini chandeliers may be small, but they are pretty big when it comes to impressions.
