So here we are again, you are looking for a new job but you have heard some fishy things about the potential employer you might work for. You wish there was a way you could find out more without actually hiring an investigator. After all that's a little nuts isn't it? Well now you have another option available to you. There are actually websites online that will allow other people to rant about their bosses or the companies they work for. This helps you because it gives you a chance to look up the could be boss or company you might be working at. But it's also a good option for other people that already work at a place and want other people to know about their situation with that job, company or boss.

These guys let it all hang out - whatever you want to know, chances you will find it on these sites! I did a few quick inquiries and I actually found places I have worked at in the past - and I completely agree with the people complaining about these companies. If only they had these websites available when I was working offline - I would have checked in with them on every job I ever worked at. Frankly, I worked with a lot of nasty bosses in my life. So I could have saved myself a lot of stress and frustration. While I didn't have a chance - you do. So take it! The search is simple. Just go to the option for boss or company and then search within that area. So if I want to find a restaurant say I want to look for Steak And Shake in Chicago Illinois, just do a search and you will see the following information available to you:

Steak And Shake - Chicago, IL US
Job Title: Line Cook, Current Employee
Pros: I am employed during these tough economic times.
Cons: They don't give raises or vacation pay as outlined in the handbook they lose a lot of food due to mistraining and handling and say that's where our raises are plus no holiday pay. They under-schedule on purpose, turnover is staggering, advancement is rare they require us to wear gloves but not hand washing, the air conditioner gives out every summer and the whole place smells like sewer, the equipment is shabby and I've sustained a permanent injury from sliding in grease from a leaky fryer which it took 2 yrs for them to address.
Advice for Newcomers: Look elsewhere.

While this one isn't too bad, I have seen some really bad ones on here. Some of which I choose not to even post up because they are very well-known companies. So if you want to be shocked, amazed and utterly stunned have a look for yourself. All the job and boss rants will ask for about the same info as listed above eg; job title, pros, cons, advice, etc. So you can literally look at any job or any boss and get some good advice about your potential (maybe not after this) job or boss! Do yourself some good. No one likes working for an unethical company, jerky boss, or a company that undercuts your pay or worse yet your schedule. Find out all you can before you even bother to take the job!
