It used to be that you would have to spend a ton of money to go on a trip. So then some genius decide that it was a better idea if you went on a trip with a few family members or friends and split the costs. The only problem with this is that each person would still have to pay in a lot of money - maybe money that they didn't have in the first place. Nowadays things are very different though. Not only can you go on wondrous holidays by yourself, with your partner or with your your kids but you can also go places in groups as well and it won't cost a ton of money!
Recently my mom was thinking about going to Lithuania because that's what our background is. My grandparents were from a place called Vilnius, Lithuania so we thought we would take a holiday there and see what it was like. We have a ton of family so we always thought we would have some of them go with us as well. Well usually with a huge group like that you would still be paying a lot but not now! Now we could probably all pay about $500 and be in the clear as far as airfare, hotel, and food items go.
And still have money left over to buy a few souvenirs as well! You can go anywhere in the world that you want to go. A few places I saw online were Disney World, Greece, San Francisco, etc. The sky really is the limit with these holidays! Lets just look at one example so you can see where I am coming from!
All inclusive holidays to Egypt
London Gatwick to Luxor
Luxor is the premier travel destination in Upper (southern) Egypt and the Nile Valley. The dynastic and religious capital of Middle Kingdom and New Kingdom Egypt, Luxor has much to offer the traveller, from vast temples, to ancient royal tombs, via spectacular desert and river scenery and a bustling modern life.
Although a relatively small town by Egyptian population standards, Luxor is quite extensive and is best divided up into several "districts" or areas that group the main attractions on their respective sides of the river Nile. East Bank the town, the Luxor Temple, the Temple of Karnak, The Museum, trains, hotels, restaurants. West Bank the location of the major ruins including Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens and other important sites; the Western Valley ruins, and a few hotels.
The modern city of Luxor is on the East bank. That area has the train and bus stations, most of the hotels and restaurants, some museums, tourist shops and so on. Most visitors (and almost all tour groups) stay on the East bank and travel across for the tourist sites, but in recent years, there has been an increase in hotels on the West bank and many independent travelers stay there.
Hotel:
Kings Island - Nestled around gardens near the foot of the Pyramids, this bungalow village has received praise for its environment-friendly design. Rooms are casually furnished with light wood furniture and have private balconies, many with views of the Pyramids. Facilities are top-notch, and sports enthusiasts will find plenty on offer, with tennis, jogging and a fitness centre.
It's far removed from the city, but a great option if you love the desert and archaeological sites, or just want an escape from the noise and pollution. Amenities include: Swimming Pool, Meeting Facilities, Broadband Access, Tennis, Bicycling, Fishing, Boating/Sailing, Horseback Riding, Jogging Track, Air Conditioning and much more!
Price: 1,000 GBP.
So in reality you could take 6 people with you and have them all pay somewhere around 166 GBP and then if you bring 500 GBP with you that would be a ton of money left over. Don't take these discount options for granted. They do go quick, but if you plan ahead (like you should be doing) and you try to book on a Tuesday or a Wednesday you should be okay! Just the same as you can see these are some fabulous prices that are of high quality locations and hotels. Nothing "cheap" about this but the price - which is what you want!
