Public transportation has made good use of the benefits of GPS vehicle tracking. Fleet Management Uses

GPS technology, combined with GSM wireless coverage, allows companies to access specific vehicle data. The location of each vehicle, number of stops, idling time and total mileage is easily accessed and quickly analyzed, allowing fleet managers to find ways to improve efficiency and save money. Some GPS vehicle tracking systems actually provide online access to each vehicle's 90 day history. Using GPS vehicle tracking systems, fleet managers are able to find and identify the vehicles that are closest to a particular customer, allowing for closer estimates of pickup and shipment arrival times.
