Work at Home Businesses: Envelope Stuffing

By: Andrew John

The biggest problem with working at home is that many of business ideas you are given by the Internet are scams. There are hundreds people out there living off nave beginning businessmen. You don't have enough money for helping them buy new cars and villas - and even if you had, you would probably prefer fetching some luxurious stuff for yourself. What does it have to do with the envelope stuffing? Let's read more about it below...

Too good? - If an offer sounds like a dream come true, be wary. Such offers are usually scams or half-scams. They are often created by less-than-honest entrepreneurs who have decided to run ad campaigns for lower costs. They claim that you get, for example, $1 for each stuffed envelope. That's a great offer, surely beating all but the best-paid jobs. What they fail to say if that you receive money only if the person who receives the offer responds. As 99% people treat such mail as a paper version of SPAM, they throw it away without reading. Effect? You may stuff hundred envelopes for a single dollar. Sound like a good business? Guess not.

Information is power - Scammers never tell you exactly how much you will earn, what you are going to do and what it takes to actually do the job. If you are asked do sign up on their website first, or buy their starting kit in order to receive more information, this is not a business opportunity. This is thievery. When you buy the kit, you may find out that, for example, you have to advertise envelope stuffing business among your friends and relatives and are paid for their sign ups rather than anything else. Or that you really have to find the addresses to send letters, or that you even have to send the letters yourself for your own money!

Ways of doing business - A legitimate company will always give you some warranty of getting paid if you do what you were asked for. No one but scammers will burden you with all the risks! I mean, what does your job really have to do with the conversion rate? You do your job and should get paid for it. Those who should be held responsible for low conversion rate are people who prepared the letters, not those who stuff them into envelopes!

To sum everything up: There is virtually no such thing as a legitimate envelope stuffing business. It's that simple. Look elsewhere, there are plenty of legitimate businesses to associate with.
